I don’t know about you but, everyone is my family LOVES chicken. You can’t really go wrong with chicken. It’s quite a versatile meat that can be eaten with just about anything. That’s why I enjoy making this easy sticky chicken recipe when I get visitors because, well, it takes 5 minutes to prepare and 35 minutes to bake in the oven. It can be served with rice, cous-cous, quinoa, potatoes, a delicious fresh salad or on its own as an appetiser. What more could one ask for?
- 8 Chicken Drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Chilli Sauce of your choice
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Tomato Puree
- 3 Garlic Cloves minced
Pre-heat the oven at 180 °C. Rinse the chicken in cool water and set aside in a clean bowl.
Mix all remaining ingredients into a sauce.
Pour the sauce over the chicken and mix well until check is well coated. (At this point you can cover in cling film and leave to marinate for up to 8 hours)
Once well coated, place into a prepared baking tray and bake for 35 minutes or until chicken is tender.
