Chocolate Granola Bar
Granola bars make the perfect on-the-go breakfast or a quick snack in between meals. I used to buy so many granola bars until I discovered my own quick granola bar recipe! Since this discovery, I have been sold! I always make my own instead of purchasing some because they are simple, quick, delicious and CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP to make!
Although I have tried out many recipes, I tend to make this one the most because its my utmost favourite. I love the way the bar is packed with almonds, cashews, raisins, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds! It’s aromatic banana flavour and the bitter sweetness of the dark chocolate are (almost) enough to die for! You can’t really go wrong with bananas and chocolate! This bar is great for kids and adults. Make a batch and eat alongside a glass of cold milk.
Much love,
- Prep Time: 5 min
- Cook Time: 20 min
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 Bananas mashed
- 2 cups Rolled Oats
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 & 1/2 cup Fruit and Nut mix of your choice
- 1 bar Dark Chocolate broken into pieces
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven at 180°C
Mix all ingredients into a large bowl and whisk lightly until well mixed. Place the mixture into a prepared baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Once baked, set aside to cool.
Once cooled, cut into bars.
Place hot water in a small pot and place a heatproof glass bowl on top of the pot. Place chocolate pieces and gently mix until melted. Once melted, remove the bowl from the pot and begin dipping your granola bars into the chocolate.
Leave the chocolate to dry and enjoy!
Notes
I tend to use the fruit and nut mix which contains almonds, cashews, raisins, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. You are however welcome to use a fruit and nut mix of your choice.
